The Contax T3 is a 35 mm film, compact rangefinder camera with a titanium body, and Carl Zeiss Sonnar lens. This T3 is smaller than the T2 and includes a built-in flash. The highlight feature is an upgraded 6-element (sharper) Carl Zeiss Sonnar T* 35 mm passive autofocus and manual focus lens; 1/1200 s max shutter speed with autofocus lock. The T3 kept the 2.8 lenses (now a 35mm vs. a 38mm) but cut the size by about 1/3.

The Contax T3 was released in 2001 as the follow up to the T2. The T3 is apart of Contax's T line of compact cameras. The T3, T2, and T1 use 35mm film. At the time of its release, the T3 was considered a deluxe compact camera. The Carl Zeiss Sonnar lens offers impeccable image quality, exceptional contrast, and better relative illumination over the image area while decreasing distortion. The dual between-the-lens shutter system offers record-breaking, top shutter speeds.
